At Aspire Counseling & Wellness, I offer Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to the individuals I see in the office. DBT is a skills based therapy, offering different skills to assist individuals in 4 core areas. Those areas are: Emotional Regulation, Distress Tolerance, Mindfulness, and Interpersonal Effectiveness.
Through DBT, I assist the individuals I work with in understanding their emotions, releasing self criticism, finding ways to improve their relationships, and learning how to live more presently and in the moment. These skills help individuals reduce and manage anxiety, cope with daily stressors, improve their quality of life, remain non-judgmental towards themselves and others, as well as reducing self limiting and negative self biased thinking patterns.
DBT assists individuals in learning how to come to a place of acceptance, while also beginning to make small daily changes that can lead to overall improved life satisfaction.
Kaela Haycraft, LPC is trained in DBT and has provided over 1,500 direct face to face hours of DBT.
DBT is offered in an individual format. Currently we do not offer any DBT groups.
